Virani frowned when Orisson mentioned what had happened in that Shamans tent. She had not yet written about it in her journal, she'd not felt able to. It was too new, too fresh a wound yet.
"Physically I feel...Good." She told him.
It was true, having that thing out of her had made a huge difference. She no longer woke in the night from bad dreams and for the first time she could remember she was not afraid of her magic.
"Yet I almost wish it had not happened, to find out that people I trusted did that to me is something I am finding very hard to deal with. The thought that my own mother could..." She trailed off unable to finish that sentence.

Kal returns from her sweep of the area and steps out of the shadows. Kat you should know by now never ever wish for things as they have a nasty habit of bitting us on the arse " kal says this with a half smile" I'm glad those things are no longer chasing us at least for now.
Virani tells of this evereska where we now head, what sort of reception are we likely to receive? I only ask as from what you have mentioned several humans a half dragon and a Dwarf in tow is unlikely to make you many friends.

"From what I know of elves, they would not take kindly to any non elven kind entering their city. They believe themselves better than others, especially dwarves. That is why I will take a small amount of pleasure in visiting this Evereska place, my presence alone should be enough to annoy them.

Virani glanced at Thorek and sighed, getting along with him was going to be a challenge. She looked at Kal and frowned thoughtfully.
"Evereska has always been...isolated from the other races. The Elves there did not welcome those not of Elven kind that is true."
She paused remembering her last visit, the fighting and the ruin.
"Last time I was there, the city fought against those trying to destroy it and the city was badly damaged. Before I left there had been talk of allowing other races into the city. Even if only to bring much needed resources. But I do not know if this happened."
She sighed and looked apologetically at the group.
"What I do know is that you will certainly not receive a warm welcome. But I'm hoping that my family connections will be enough to allow you inside at least. But they will not look kindly on me for bringing you all."
She smiled gratefully at Kat. "I know I ask a lot of you by coming with me. But I do appreciate it. I don't think I could do it alone knowing what I do now."

Thorek noted virani's expression, realizing he had annoyed her tried to explain himself.
"Getting dwarves to like elves is like trying to get orcs to stop raping and pillaging. It doesn't happen. Just like orcs, the only way to make them bareable is to water down the blood, by mixing them with humans. I mean the least they could do is try and grow a decent beard, most of the time you can't tell the men from the women. "
He sits, thinking through his explanation, then nods, as if satisfied that virani would understand.

"Thorek, the simple answer is yes *smiles* I have dedicated myself to fighting Bahamut's enemies, as a high priest of Bahamut my father made a few enemies along the way. In a particular case, one black dragon has already sent many abominations to try and kill me and my friends. A new Dragon war stirs and I intend to be prepared to hold back the darkness Tiamat's followers will try and bring.
*Smiles at Virani* If need be I am sure myself and Kal can be less obvious about our entering the city, it is not a garantee as I am sure the guardians of the place are extremely observant and us getting caught could be more harmful than simply walking with you but the choice is yours.
*Turns her smile to Kal* let them come, then also pray we are string enough to stop them *laughs*"

Virani nodded at Thorek, she had heard about Dwarves and the dislike they felt for Elves.
"I understand."She said. "You are trying with me and that is what matters."
She looked to Kat and Kal."I have no doubt you two would find a way in and we may have to do that. But hopefully it won't come to that."
She looked grim at mention of the Black Dragon. "I don't know much of it and I would like to know more Kat. If you're willing to speak of it."
