Azral stares into the fire lost in thought for some time. Every now and then he puffs on his pipe seeming to not notice he hadn't lit it. Then finally after scratching his beard he turns to face the others.
"Look. I don't think we're dealing with Valkur here at all. In fact I'm sure we're dealing with Umberlee. I'm not sure if the monks know of this or not but I'd lay coin on its Umberlee".

I said something does not seem right here, Valkur is supposed to be a good god and the monks are said to aid any in need of any faith. Aid my flaming fang if you cant even get near them! And one thing that is bugging me, when the drowned was last turned at keirguard the revenge was a huge wave that crashed over the keep which is what, around 200ft above the coast. Does this ring any bells with a big wave stopping people get near this monastery! I am not as knowledgeable in the religions as you my friend, but from the little I know none of the gods we follow would be at odds with Valkur, Gond the craftsman, the Moridinsammam are many aspects but I cannot see a reason they would be at odds. Mystryl is the goddess of the weave and I do not know of any good gods that see is at odds with, Bahamuut is the father of the wind, the sword of justice and and a protector of the weak!
Something here screams false and my claws are itching! I feel iritated just being near the place, maybe only one person is the cause or maybe all, but something is wrong here!
Kat suddenly looks round straight to Tazinithe pinning him with a slightly confused stare "Mystril? , do you not mean you are a follower of Mystra the lady of mysteries?"

"I agree lass. Valkur is the god of sailors and ships known as the Mighty and the Captain of the Waves. Protector of all who sail on the sea! and constantly strives to safeguard his worshipers against the whims of Umberlee and Talos. He relishes shipboard life and the thrill of exploration. He exhorts his followers to live life with vigor and to strive against anything the Gods of Fury may throw against them. This does not sound anything like what is going on here!
Yet take Umberlee, The Bitch Queen! She is a malicious, mean, and evil deity who breaks agreements on a whim and takes great pleasure in watching others die by drowning or in the jaws of sea predators. Now correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that sound a lot like this so called Christened by the sea crap?
Weresharks are her creations, and theirs is one of the few races that worship her out of admiration rather than fear. So be careful as those priests in there maybe weresharks. Her clerics pray for spells at high tide in the morning or evening. Very convenient that is pretty impossible to get near the place during those times.
And based on what you pointed out Kat about when this Drowned one was dealt with before and the wave hit the castle. I wouldn't be surprised if this Drowned isn't in some way an aspect of Umberlee"

I don't wish to be drowned by a good god or a bad one, especially here. It'S not the right time for me to go to Mystryls side. I have no idea whats going on here and what the hell is a bloody Wereshark? If Azral says they aren't what they claim to be then it bears further inspection. i will venture forth with you to find the truth, I just wish we had brought the Mercenaries now, we could have sent them in and watched from the shore but oh well.
Do not be worried about me or my loyalty towards you. I have new....... gifts now which I'm coming to terms with. Mystral has blessed me greatly by giving me these ebony wings and Ferrous with which I shall strike at our enemies.

Sending the mercenaries in like that is a little cold don't you think Tazinthe? and again with Mystryl, is this an aspect of Mystra or something else im merely curious

I have no wish to die for nothing. Mercenaries fight for pay while our work is of a greater calling. You may think me callous for that remark but it does not mean my view isn't true. In a fight I would aid you over aiding a Mercenary everytime, not because they are Mercenaries but because you are of more use to my endeavours alive.

Kat, Mystryl is the Lady of the Mysteries, everything that uses the Art is governed by her and we must not abuse the trust she has placed in us when using the Art.

I appreciate that you are willing to lend your aid when needed, in truth the works we have started are of a great concern and import to many innocents and others. What endeavours are you planning Tazinthe, do you seek something - maybe knowledge or are you on a personal quest.
As for Ludwig and the other they guard our cart and horses, they look after these so we can continue with the work we are doing with once less thing to worry over.
With your beliefs they are your own, each of us chooses where our hearts and faith lay, but now I am really confused? I thought Mystra was the Lady of Mysteries?? Azral???

"Ai she is.. Ancient Nethereise worshipped Mystril as far as I know. When Karsus tried to take her power and failed I believe she fell from grace and a new Lady of the weave stepped up. But as we all know things aren't quite how we remember them since Gottenhall so I'm not sure anymore"
