The Light in the Shadow (Leather Armour of Greater Shadows and Etherealness +4)
Silver thread traces a subtle pattern of elven leaves and trees upon this exquisite suit of leather armour. It is of darkest grey with deep black greaves and skirts and seems to pull the shadows towards it.
Gifted to the fellow Companion of the Fated Heart, Kal’atec Uthlorad in 1376 by Katalina Half Dragon, the armour was crafted by the Evereskan artificer Aernassien, commissioned by the High Elder of Evereska as a reward and parting gift.
Kal’atec was one of the heroes that vanquished Malimshaer from his prison in the tomb of Alusian, an ancient Vyyshaan Demonologist.
She also helped Katalina return the Moongift of Sehanine, an ancient elven bow and artefact.
Shadow, Greater: Grants a +15 competence bonus on Hide checks.
Etherealness: On command, this ability allows the wearer of the armor to become ethereal (as the ethereal jaunt spell) once per day. The character can remain ethereal for as long as desired, but once he returns to normal, he cannot become ethereal again that day.
Strong transmutation and moderate illusion; CL 15th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, invisibility, ethereal jaunt; Price +82,000 gp.
The Last Laugh (Belt of Giant Strength and Heavy Fortification +6)
This fine belt of heavy dark blue leather is entwined with bronze markings and runes related to strength and protection and carries the symbol of the Angharradh in the form of a buckle made of three interlocking circles. On the inner surface of the belt is an elven saying “To have true strength, one must also have the wisdom not to use it”.
Gifted to the fellow Companion of the Fated Heart, the gnome jester Felix in 1376 by Katalina Half Dragon, the belt was crafted by the Evereskan artificer Urendar the Grey, commissioned by the High Elder of Evereska as a reward and parting gift.
Urendar also enchanted the belt to protect the wearer as a magical suit of armour with the Fortification enchantment.
Felix was one of the heroes that vanquished Malimshaer from his prison in the tomb of Alusian, an ancient Vyyshaan Demonologist.
He also helped Katalina return the Moongift of Sehanine, an ancient elven bow and artefact.
The belt adds to the wearer’s Strength score in the form of an enhancement bonus of +6.
Fortification: This produces a magical force that protects vital areas of the wearer more effectively. When a critical hit or sneak attack is scored on the wearer, there is a 100% chance that the critical hit or sneak attack is negated and damage is instead rolled normally.
Moderate transmutation and strong abjuration CL 16th; Craft Wondrous Item, bull’s strength, limited wish or miracle; Price 61,000 gp; Weight 1 lb.
Nyc’ Telsaloh (Moon Sister’s Gift)
These exquisite bracers are fashioned of feather light mithril and are delicately engraved with entwined leaves in the elven style, that wrap and embrace a unicorn’s head on the left bracer and a crescent moon on the other. Both motifs are inlaid with gemstones – perfect sapphires on the moon symbol and flawless emeralds on the unicorn.
These bracers were crafted in 1376 by the High Artificer of Evereska as a parting gift to Virani Mieren Synrustar from the High Elder of Evereska by request of Katalina the half dragon. A reward for destroying the demon Malimshaer and investigating the secrets of a Vyshaan tomb, each bracer offers various powers when donned as a pair or individually.
Bracer of Mielikki’s Blessing
The left bracer protects the wearer as bracers of armour +8
Strong conjuration; CL 16th; Craft Wondrous Item, mage armor.
Bracer of Sehanine’s Blessing
The right bracer offers magic protection as per a cloak of resistance in the form of a +5 resistance bonus on all saving throws (Fortitude, Reflex, and Will).
Strong abjuration; CL 15th; Craft Wondrous Item, resistance.
When both bracers are worn, they act the same as a greater rod of metamagic, Empower.
The wielder can cast up to three spells per day that are empowered as though using the Empower Spell feat. Spells up to 9th level can be affected and they do not use up a slot of a higher level.
Strong (no school); CL 17th; Craft Rod, Empower Spell.
