Azral walks over and places a hand on Kals shoulder trying to reassure her
"I know lass, it's never easy"
Passing Kal a small bundle
"Oh before I forget take these"
*** Add: Bracers of Armor +3, Ring of Force Shield ***

*Kat walks away for a few minutes, desperately trying to quell the fire within and fighting to regain control of her temper. With a visible effort the shaking subsides and she returns to the others*
"Amalthis, I am sorry I was a little hard on you then. I felt so helpless as the poison took hold and I HATE being unable to act. Then your life being in danger just fueled my anger, with no clear culprit and no clear path as to how I should move it was to much and my restraint broke it was all I could do to stop myself tearing into all of them. You seemed certain of the Lords guilt, but why? I admit the man put my fangs on edge with irritation, but with your outburst it just fueled his position to call the guards against us. If you had given reason for for suspicions I would have helped mpve to capture and detain him. I do not really want to see the guards of hers harmed as they are just people trying to do there duty. Had I not reigned my temper and frustration in I fear the blood of many innocents on my hands. Tell me why you believe him to be behind this, let us find the proof and go bring the wrath of the Justicemaker upon him and those that share his guilt"
"Taren, Azral, thank you for coming with such speed to our aid. The situation left me unable to act, I felt helpless and lost for a course of action! *her eyes flicker with golden flame and the temperature suddenly rises around her, the heat coming from her breath could almost be mistaken for standing near a forge*, "I never want to feel so at odds for a course of action or lost EVER again"
"Taren, you have mentioned mutliple times of the animosity you have felt against you. Of never fitting in and feeling like the outsider where ever you have traveled, so why do you feel the need to throw petty insults and the need to victimize a guard simply trying to do his job! You are lucky I composed myself enough to walk away, if you wish to gain a reputation for being rude and a complete sisargh karshoj (roughly translates as complete hoard crapper, as into crap on someones hoard) you are going the right way where your animosity is deserved!"
"Azral has a plan to get the apparent assassin out of his cell if he is still alive, I believe taking him to the hunters cottage Amalthis and I visited would be one of the safest places for him and us for now. One of us could ride to Count and ask for some form of writ giving us some actual authority here to help with solving this crime. Or we can act of our own authority? what do you all think?, I really want to see justice served here"

Kal kisses Azral on the cheek, Thank you I'll take the bracers but keep hold of the ring for I have no use of it with those I already posses. Keep the shield, I hope that it keeps you safe. As kal blends with the shadows I have tasks that I must accomplish I will find you when I am done see you soon my fiends. With that she is gone.

I know this quote is slightly out of order and should be read before Kats latest entry

"I have a scroll of Augury here somewhere. I could use it to ask The Secret Keeper of the Mountains whether performing a ritual to bring the half-elf back to live would be to his will or not! That way it saves time trying only to find out that the Mordinsamman won't permit it. As for the 5000gp worth of Diamonds needed for the spell, I'm sure she has that in the house somewhere.
Yes Kat my lass you do have a point though, Taren! Did it make you feel better insulting the guards armor? It was more than likely made for him as he's one of the Lady's guards. Correct me if I'm wrong but the srmor your wearing wasn't made by you!"

Kat, it was clearly that stuck up lord who ordered the lady's death. Take, for example, the timing - if he had his way then we wouldn't even be here tonight and he would have got away with it. His brute of bodyguard also just happens to appear from the kitchen at EXACTLY the same point when the lady was dying shouting that he had captured the culprit and that her death was caused by poisoning. What in all the Forest was he doing in the kitchen anyway, he's a bodyguard not a bloody cook. While we are on the subject, where is the Her bodyguard when she turns up dead.
The only witness was the brute bodyguard and now the servant is being held hostage and everybody has been refused when they ask to see him. If the servant is still alive, then we should do what we can now to find out the truth, unless ofcourse you believe that this is all just a big mistake and a servant has chosen to take it upon himself to kill and nice and fair lady who in this town is seemingly adored. The old hunter is a good man, I don't wish to bring trouble to his door un-necessarily and potentially endanger him as well.
Taren, I venture with this group on the good understanding from Arkadeus that you are all good people, it would be a shame if, when we return to him, that I tell him that you are nothing more than an inept fool playing at being Hero.
I apologise for my behaviour, I have let myself down and I will tell Arkadeus upon our return. I witnessed the murder of a good lady tonight and I feel that justice must be served. If you seek this goal as well Kat then me and Ghost will proudly stand beside you to get that justice.

Well said Amalthis, we shall see justice served together. Do not worry as we all make mistakes, after only travelling a short time from my fathers side I stole from a Temple thinking I was doing the right thing. I have made my amends and learned from this.
Azral I think that sounds an excellent idea.

Azral before I forget, be warned the Lord is a caster of some sort! I saw him cast a spell just before Amalthis was nearly executed.

I think we did well working together as a group, which bodes well for the future. Having said that, I feel that we need to work on our communication skills for the next time we face danger. It seems that people want to say something but are interrupted and hence the group get annoyed and angry. I myself have done it before and I tried about 6/7 times to get my point across. I know I'm new to the group but I feel that we need better communication in the future.

"Ayi lass. The Companions of the Fated Heart are still new hun, and we've had people leave, die and new ones join. We're still finding are feet lassi.
Don't worry about being new. We all pick up on things others don't. Kal will always wait for the best time to strike or act impulsively, she's still young!
Kat thinks about saving the world and everyone in it the best she can and will always act on her heart an not her head!
Me, I'm far to old to listen to pratel. I try to think the long game but can be a little stubborn and always opinionated. I prefer to act than sit on my arse!
Not travelled with you and Taren long enough yet"

"I think that sums us up well my friend *laughs*, I rely on guidance at times as I am indeed ruled by my passion at times. If i could save everyone I would and where I can't I shall still try! also i'm still young myself Azral, 10 or so in human years maybe *smiles*
You Azral you seem to be more like the stone when it comes to being stubborn as time rolls by, it should be interesting to see if you have frozen in place in a 100 years or so, and Kal seems to spend more time in the shadows these days than Lathanders light, but her heart is still in the right place.
Amalthis, Taren tell me what drives you both? what are your strengths and weaknesses?"

"I still don't understand that. a 10 year old human 'bern doesn't leave her ma's side. Let alone swing a Greatsword, fire an arrow straight an true, or breath gouts of flame! 10 years old!! You should be tucked up in bed by night fall lass. Not out fighting to change the world"
