I have been drawing some ideas, if we are a group we should have our own symbol. Tell me what you think

Ludwig takes a look at the picture of Hrodmir then spits on the floor, the light of the fire casting dark shadows across his grim features. He speaks in Damaran, his sentences punctuated with the rasping sound of stone sliding along steel.
I was but 14 when the wolf winter coated my home with ice and death. My father sent me away with a pilgrim of Ilmater. I believe my father had heard of the witch king's army storming through the north and wanted me safe and away from the recruiters and the fighting to come. Ha! I would have been safer with him as the pilgrim... He was not a good man... He was a cruel master but he died one night and I escaped his cruelty. But by then I was a man grown and lost in Waterdeep. Here I became a blacksmith and then a mercenary and traveled to Zazesspur but not before hearing news of the Witch King laying siege to my home lands and the stories of horror coming from there. I wanted to go and help but I had given my word to travel south and Ludwig Varakman never breaks his oaths. This, Hrodmir that you travelled with was named Hrodmir the Invincible by his followers. He was said to be a great hero and he lead Damaran warriors who called themselves the Stonebreakers spoke of him as if he were some god. They never knew that he was really a devil in disguise. But they discovered his true nature during the battle of The Goliad River that he could not contain his thirst for human flesh and changed into the beast you drew, though I heard that he was much bigger and had horns that circled his head in flame and a great sword of ice. Slaying with king men and Damaran men alike, he then fled into the mountains and vanished leaving a trail of dead men and cursed lands behind him. Some say he joined the witch king's forces and the battle of The Goliad River was a trap he had deliberately lead his men into, others say that he returned to hell. His former friend and second, Gromm Ironhand, survived the war and now hunts Hrodmir with some of the old men that the beast had betrayed. I and others beleive Hrodmir is a turncloak and traitor, a coward who left his men to die at the river that day... One of those Stonebreakers was my father.
Ludwig stares into the flames for a moment then finishes sharpening his sword, flourishing it away into its sheathe, he stands and his mood changes once more.
Good pictures... Yes, companions of fated heart should have banner. Now Ludwig needs to piss...

Taren is sat off to one side, sharpening his swords, yet staring into the flames.
I find myself fascinated by the heart with flames, It seems right considering the members of our group. Shadow and Flame is big part of who we are, what we stand for and how our enemies perceive us.
And it seems to me, in my limited time with this group, that making enemies is something that all of us seem good at.
I have often wondered where my journey will take me, this group seems the best choice for taking me there.
Having spoken his thoughts, Taren returns to sharpening his swords.

*Poking at the fire sending sparks and flames dancing into the air*
Maybe Kat we knew different people! The Hrodmir I remember was a savage that had a strange sense of honour.. Those are all gud draws but they don't seem to encompass Companions of the Fated Heart..

It sit by the fire, quietly making my mind up as to how much I can trust these people that I find myself travelling with. I’m still unsure how much I should tell them.
"Why do we need a banner, we don’t serve a Lord or a King. If you want to make some form of insignia then I believe we should get it emblazoned upon our cloaks. Although thinking about it, my Genasi companion could hold the banner when we are in combat because lets face it at least he would be doing something useful then"
I look over at Taron but he seems to content to look into the fire and attending to his weapons. I feel something strange when I am around the Daemon Shadow Walker. I will keep an inquisitive eye upon her. Maybe with my own dealings with the Devilkind and the Daemonic we may become close allies of a sort.

Azral is intent on getting Drakes Peak back into the world of the living, he speaks to me of recruiting for rebuilding and more, a banner for our Castle is a symbol of those who hold the seat there. I have always expressed things through drawing, I like the idea of an Icon those that are our enemies can see and fear! and those in need can rally to. We may not serve Lords and Ladies, but we have them amongst us.
Following Tazinthe's gaze, "that's a little harsh *as she chuckles*, I'm sure he has yet to bring his best out to show us his true heart and skill". Watching Taron staring into the Fire Kat wonders how much he actually understands fire itself, maybe when he chooses to have this conversation about fire he mentioned she will find out.
"So what do the rest of you think about a banner or insignia?" she asks sweeping her gaze over all around the campfire

Your drawings are good Kat however the image we should use should encompass all that we are. Should our new companions wish to remain in our company then they need to be drawn (slight girlish giggle) into your designs Shadow, Flame and Earth our genasi friend again fiery of nature and the mysterious tazinthe with his some what unusual skills.

Ludwig, I am sorry to hear of your loss and pain, The Hordmir that I knew was strong and reliable he saved my life on a number of occasion. He has a darker side but even this he used to benefit those who traveled with him. I find it hard to see the same as you describe something seems wrong. From the little that we could understand or what he would tell us he left for a reason he would not divulge. One day we may be reunited then we should seek the truth. All I ask is that he should be given fair chance to prove his innocence. If he is guilty if what you say then i will not stand in your way.

You may have traveled with him for a little while, but the Stonebreakers and my father knew him for years. All men have secrets, all men only show the side they want you to see. You are half demon, one day it will show. Katalina is half dragon, one day it will show. Not by breathing fire or by growing wings and flying, but accompanied by death and blood and suffering.
As for your banner; You can put whatever symbol you want on your surcoats and battlements and shields but you will not get to chose your banner, for if you think you can take a castle and not fly somebody else's colors, you are fool. Unless you find island or new undiscovered land and can hold it, you will have to bend the knee to someone and this Drake's Peak is in Amn so you will end up being bannermen and loyal servants to the Council of Six and the man you hate - Phellus.

Picking crumbs from his beard and popping them into his mouth Azral turns to face both Kalatec and Tazinthe. Looking at both of them in slight confusion.
"Umm, I been thinking and some things aren't quite making sense. Look at end of day, we may have only just started travelling together, or in your case Kal have known each other a long time. Where I can understand the need for some secrets (Patting the ground next to him and smiling) I believe that things that will effect us as a group shouldn't be kept. Especially if those secrets will some day be the cause for us defending ourselves from outsides"
Azral turns and spits into the fire, the flames popping as he does. Turning back to both of them and watching their reactions closely [Sense Motive].
"Tazinthe - What are you? You have mentioned Nethereese, Mystril, I have seen you using arcane power! I thought you were a sorcerer but you say your a wizard. I have never seen you memorize any spells and have never seen you even look into a book and no familiar. So I know your not a Wizard! So what are you?"
"Kalatec - Lately you seem to of learnt more secrets of the shadows. You no longer take morning prayer like you used to. You no longer thank Tymora for her blessings of luck. Yet we have heard you talking about divine justice/revenge/retribution and you now insist on being woken up for midnight then disappear for an hour or so. What I want to know is Kal, do you now offer your prayers to Shar and has she become your patron?"
