**Its been nice having some chats around certain places but i think some of the basic idea of the forum has been lost and its made it a bit odd to try and chat so i think im going to re-start things in what i think the spirit of the forum was for, those camp fire chats that we dont have time in game to do that occur at an arbitrary irrelevant time and place to build character relation and add more flavour to our characters and other such things. So thats why ive made this thread. Im setting up in some way for each character so even if its slighty wrong please go along with the spirit of things.**
*Kalon approaches the Fire with a few more logs to keep the fire going all night if required, Kat is sitting near the fire with her feet idly sitting inside it preparing some recipe from her book. Lyri sitting nearby, watching kat cooking with interest. Halycon is standing in the background like a statue looking into the fading light, as on the road trouble is always close. Wren is to one side, with the camp set, content to do her exercises. Simani is on the edge of the fires light, 2 cat eyes lurking in the shadows, which only the most keen eyes can see*
*Kalon drops the wood nearby the fire and throws a few bedrolls on the ground. looking comfortable as he often does in the great outdoors he looks across talking to anyone who might be able to listen at the moment*
"I do like it out in here, What do you lot like about being out here?" Kalon sits then hastily adds "If anything?"

*Kat looks up from the drawings in the back of Krondon's book, a sadness showing in her eyes*
"The air in clean and carries the smells of the wilds if you know to pick them out *smiles*. The open road, the quiet, nights with a crackling fire just looking at Selunes sky, the call of birds, wolves and more Move when you ready, stop when your ready and look to nature for her bounty and shelter.
A lot sums it up easier *laughs* then shows those around the picture of a campfire with a few people sleeping around it. Most of you have heard me mention the chef whose cook book this was, also the one taught me to cook. What I didn't know till he had passed from his mortal coils was that in secret he had been watching me draw and trying to learn himself *smiles deeply* sometimes the non obvious or hidden bits people keep close have so much emotion and aspects you don't see or expect"

Halcion looks up and over all the group, In a low voice I travel the roads in search of truth. About myself and about others it is a long road, one that has alienated my from my people. I am an outcast from my own so now I must find a new family one to share in their strength and they in turn can share in mine. I will need to return to my people at sometime and try and convince them that they cannot remain aloof from the world and to do so will doom us to a death that we once escaped from. I hope and pray that with wisdom learnt from my journey and my interactions of others I can help heal my people. Torm has accepted me and now Bahamut has also excepted me but I have not turned my back on Aerdrie Faenya she remains in my thoughts always. I may not seem the most pious or devout of paladins, but I've always believed in showing to right way rather than preaching. However I am not infallible and I can be wrong just as any other.

*Kalon ponders the words of his two companions*
"It seems easier to find peace than wisdom Tormtar. Nature is a harsh teacher. Very harsh"
*Looks over to kat*
"Always hold something close and you will remember"
*Kalons hand lies over his greatswords hilt*

Life is harsh, the test is to face the challenge. Remaining cloistered achieves nothing, whilst I travel the lands my sword has a purpose. Even if in the bigger picture my actions have no meaning those that are saved by them will remember and the gods will still see my efforts.

It would be nice to learn of each of you, I sense that some of you are newer to this group which is known as the Companions of the Fated Heart, I would like to learn and know more about those I now travel with. Would you be willing to tell me some of your tales and Journeys. In turn I will tell you more about myself, I have already spoken regarding my peoples differences with Dragon Kind. But here I am a follower of Bahamut and Torm again not one usually worshipped by my people.

I guess you do not know the joys of the road, the freedoms of vast lands of the wild. No King or Priest telling me where I'm allowed to stand or when I should piss or shit. No one telling me what should or shouldn't do. Just my wits to survive and my will to guide me.
This is what the Wild lands mean to me. To me this is home.

"Well I bloody hate it! It's cold, it's wet, or it's too hot and uncomfortable....and don't get me started on the food. No offense Kat but food isn't a regular occurrence since Erza left. Give me a city any day. If it's cold you can get inside a nice little inn and make some coin.....and if it's hot you can duck down a cool, dark alley and still make some coin. I can see you frowning Halcion but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. How else am I going to eat?"

Halcion looks to the embers of the camp fire lifting a stick he pokes and blows into them causing the flames to re-kindle his eyes take up the blaze from the fire as he turns to Simani
You have gifts and skill besides your ability to take coin that has been hard earned by another. You are right in that I cannot condone what you choose to do.
This may sound preachy but
Do you ever consider the man you have lightened his purse of may have spent a week to get that money and has a family that will now also go hungry and starve because of it.
Or do you choose the rich person who will accuse those that work for him of stealing even though they have done no wrong.
Or do you perhaps choose the evil lord who mistreats those that are below him who abuses his power and the responsibility tasked to him to protect those who are lesser than him, do you use some of what you gain to keep you strong and pass the remainder to those who are weaker who cannot do what you can?
I would hope this last option is you.

Kalon the Broad and former queens hand, something else to learn about you seem to be a man of many secrets.
Compared to you I have limited time on the road maybe only a few years everything is still new to me imagine being in a prison where you can see the outside but can't quite reach, because it's your own good.
This is a simplistic way of saying what my upbringing was. In truth I love my people and wish them no harm but for some reason this was not to be my path. I always had the hunger to seek new horizons and learn more about the word.

*Kalon sits, looking over the discussion between his companions. He takes a sip of water from his water skin and eats a few dried biscuits and a piece of meat from something kat caught earlier in the day.*
"Yes, Simani tell us more of who you wouldn't lighten of their coin. I will answer you points about the wild later. I have had good and bad experiences with thieves and i would hear you story. Don't worry I'm unlikely to pass you to any authority for crimes committed. After all there aren't really any I care for"

"I do only lift from the wealthy as they normally have the better stuff, but no I don't give it away. Why should I? I have trained hard, under extremely difficult conditions to be able to do what I do. Albeit forced to do most of it by my master. In truth I pity those that are not clever enough or do not have the guts to try and earn a little extra. Even if that means stealing from there master. I have escaped my chains and stolen a great deal from my master in order to do that, because I was willing to do it. My master is a great deal worse than some wealthy merchant who beats his slaves." As simani mentions her master, she edges nearer the fire, making sure she is well within the light.

"Yes Simani, why do you feel the need to take thing *winks* sometimes you could just ask.
Polina used to take me deep into the forests and then leave me to find my own way out. The thrill of survival, being able to read nature's subtle signs and being surrounded by beauty sums up the outdoors some what. If you know where to look you can dind riches, warmth and cooling drinks outside to simani *laughs*"

"The riches you speak of are probably a beautiful sunset or a refreshing waterfall no doubt, but unfortunely that won't buy me what I want. Only gold does, and other peoples gold at that. No use spending my own gold, although come to think of it I don't think I've ever had my own gold. It's always others gold that lines my pockets. I suppose you can find food if you know where to look but alas my trade has taken me on a very different path to yours Kat"
